Nocturnal Bloom
#Video
Nocturnal Bloom is an immersive installation by Maziar Ghaderi, commissioned for the Toronto Arts Foundation’s In Bloom Gala. The work transforms a projection-mapped structure into a living mirror, blending holographic visuals with a rotating webcam selfie system to capture real-time portraits of the audience. The installation explores self-perception within constantly shifting environments and celebrates forms of growth that emerge after dark.
For this project, I was responsible for documenting the installation and its interaction with the audience during the gala. My role included on-site videography and the creation of promotional video content highlighting the atmosphere, visuals, and experiential nature of the work.
The gala brought together leaders from Toronto’s arts and cultural community, creating a vibrant setting for the piece to engage a wide and diverse audience.
